1. FITNESS TO DRIVE
A. You must hold a current, valid UK provisional license (or full driving licence with category B entitlement).This must be produced on, or in advance of, your first driving lesson. Your details may be checked and delicatessen the DVSA online system to checkout prior convictions.
B. You must meet the minimum eye sight requirements which means you must be able to read a standard UK number plate at a minimum distance of 20 metres. If you need to wear glasses or contact lenses to meet this requirement then you must wear them whenever you drive.
If you do not provide your driving licence or meet the minimum eyesight check, your lesson will be cancelled and you will be charged for the lesson.
C. To ensure the safety of you and other road users, we reserve the right to cancel any lesson if you are, or are suspected to be, under the influence of drugs, legal highs or alcohol. In such a situation, you will be charged for the lesson. If you are on any prescribed medication that may affect your driving then you must inform your instructor so they can determine if the lesson(s) proceed.
D. Any pupil displaying symptoms of illness will not be allowed to enter our tuition vehicles. Your lesson will be cancelled and you will be charged for the lesson.
E. We will not be held responsible or liable should anyone become infected with coronavirus following a lesson in one of our tuition cars
2. PUNCTUALITY, LESSON CANCELLATION & NO SHOW:
A. A minimum of 48 hours notice is required to cancel or postpone a lesson. Notice must be given, by phone, email or text. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the lesson will be charged in full.
B. Our instructors will wait for a maximum of 15 minutes after the agreed lesson start time before abandoning the lesson. Instructors will attempt to contact you by text or phone before abandoning the lesson. If you do not show then your instructor will either phone / text to leave a message confirming that they are leaving the area, and lesson(s) will still be charged for.
C. In the event of unforseen circumstances and events outside your instructor's control, a driving lesson may be cancelled at very short notice. Examples of this include, but are not limited to, adverse weather, mechanical failure with the instructor's car, puncture or accident. In such an event, your instructor will work with you to fit in a driving lesson at the earliest mutually convenient time, and no charges will apply.
D. If your instructor is running late, they will endeavour to contact you to advise their estimated time of arrival. The lesson will then either be extended by the appropriate time or by mutual agreement added onto a future lesson.
3. CONDUCT OF INSTRUCTOR:
A. Your instructor will comply with the DVSA code of conduct at all times. They will behave in a professional and ethical manner at all times, and provide you with a clean, tidy, smoke free zone and a fully insured car for the purpose of driving tuition. Instructors will not use your lesson time for any other form of business, personal or otherwise, without your permission.
B. Your instructor will endeavour to arrive on time however, due to unforeseen circumstances such as breakdowns, accidents, traffic hold ups, bad weather etc, then lesson(s) times may need to be changed or cancelled. If cancelled by your instructor, then no fee will be charged to you the pupil.
C. If one of our instructors becomes unwell we may need to reschedule your driving lessons. In this instance, the earliest possible alternative dates will be offered.
4. DRIVING TESTS
A. Your instructor will advise you when they think you are ready to take your test. This is not a guarantee of a pass.
B. In the interests of your safety and that of the public and examiner, our instructors reserve the right to withhold the use of their tuition car for the test if, in their opinion, you are not at the required standard. They will always discuss this with you when approaching a test date, to ensure if a test needs to be postponed or cancelled, this can be done within the DVSA timelines so that you do not lose your test fee.

4. GIFT VOUCHERS / PAYMENTS:
A. Payment for lesson(s) must be received in advance. Lesson bookings not prepaid are provisional only, and will be cancelled 72 hours beforehand unless payment is received.
B. Lesson payments that are not used will be returned to you. Any refunds made for lessons not taken from a block will be made after deduction of the lessons taken at full lesson rate as the discount for a block booking is only valid if all hours are used. Block bookings must be used within 6 months of purchase.
C. In the event of price changes, our instructors will give you two weeks notice of the changes. Any lessons paid for on an existing block booking will not be affected and the new rate will be applied at the time the next block booking is paid for.
D. Gift vouchers must be advised when booking, and presented to your instructor at the start of your lesson and are valid for 6 months from date of purchase ( subject to availability).
F. Gift vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash and cannot be replaced if lost.
